The Next Step with Jesus

One day in October, Deb and I had a hard conversation about life. We both knew there wasn’t a lot of time left for her. I expressed my concern about being alone without her and how it was going to feel so foreign to me. Married for 46 years and suddenly making all the decisions by myself, I knew it was going to be a difficult thing.  We talked about the void in life I would experience when she passed and how I should fill it with Jesus, and then I will never go wrong, ever! And then I should just take the next step.

So now, being on my own, I just take the next step, some are little, some big, both with Jesus! That has really helped me. He comforts me to make bold decisions (big or small) with confidence because I know He’s there in all those decisions, in faith.

We are all now faced with a faith decision and the next step. One that will affect many lives now and in the future. People we don’t even know yet, but Jesus knows them. One day, they will walk through those doors, be welcomed, and experience the love of Christ. Our mission is to share what we have so others can have it too. Our faith in God will help us to make bold decisions and then just watch Him work His power.

My prayer is for all to see the love of Christ, no matter where they are in their journey. God said He would be with us in the race that can only be won with Him. There has been, and will be, much prayer as we take the next step toward making a bigger heaven. I know filling that void in life with Jesus isn’t easy, but only then will we see our cup overflow, Amen.
